Public Speaking at NNPS

The ability to speak publicly is a very important skill to carry through life. It is something most people are called upon to do at some stage during their lives. At Narrabeen North Public School, all students participate in public speaking learning experiences and we hold an annual public speaking competition for grades K-6. The aim of the ‘Effective Communicator Competition' is to give every child the opportunity and the instruction necessary to successfully acquire skills in this area in a comfortable and secure environment that takes into account individual needs and ability.

At NNPS, we also particpate in the Mulitcultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition where students prepare and present speeches about multicultural issues at an inter-school level. Our students are always very excited to represnt our school against their peers from other local schools.
