The school takes the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children very seriously. Paramount consideration is given to complying with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 and legislative requirements. This includes Working with Children Check procedures.
To help meet our obligations, parents are asked to complete the Working With Children Check Declaration for Volunteers and Non-Child Related Contractors which is a declaration made by volunteers seeking to engage with the Department of Education.
The Working With Children Check Declaration for Volunteers and Non-Child Related Contractors is completed by the parent most likely to act in a volunteer capacity at the school. Activities include: assisting with class-based activities, helping in the canteen or transporting students to events.
If you are intending to be a parent volunteer at the school, could you please complete a Working With Children Check Declaration for Volunteers and Non-Child Related Contractors and return to the office with the 100 point ID check.
The completed declaration will be retained at school.
