Eco Warriors

Our veggie garden                           Our Native "Carinya' Garden

Eco Warriors is an environmental group which involves students in grades 1-6. Students volunteer to help with sustainability projects around the school during lunch times, supervised by various teachers. Projects include: ‘Water watch' where students use data collected about the school's water usage to create a large graph and report back to the rest of the school at assemblies. They use milk cartons as a visual representation of how many litres of water is being used per student per day and whether or not we reached our ‘Water Target' for that week. Another project ‘Gardening' involves students regenerating native bush areas around the school and assisting with weeding, mulching and watering of these native areas. Our compost is used in our gardens to nourish and enrich the soil in native garden beds and in our veggie garden.
