Spelling

At Narrabeen North Public School, our effective, explicit instruction within spelling involves not only teaching knowledge about words, but also reaching specific strategies to enable students to approach the task of spelling an unfamiliar word or checking the spelling of a word with a new skill set.

Students take part in differentiated, small group tasks throughout the week within the three components of phonology, orthography and morphology.
