Dear Parents and Carers,
We have some very exciting news, we will be holding our first ever pilot program for Vacation Care at Narrabeen North OOSH. This program will be held from Monday, 10 January 2022 to Tuesday, 25 January 2022.
· Bookings Open to OOSH Families ONLY: 29 November 2021 to 5 December 2021.
· Bookings Open to OOSH Families & NNPS Families ONLY: 6 December 2021 to 12 December 2021.
· Bookings Open to OOSH Families, NNPS Families and the community: 13 December 2021 to 19 December 2021.
Vacation Care Programs, Booking Forms & Risk Assessments will be available from Friday, 26 November 2021 via the OOSH website:
There are two separate vacation care programs; The Junior Group (Years K-2) and The Senior Group (Years 3-6). Children will NOT be able to choose which group they are booked into (this includes siblings). ALL children will be allocated into their year groups. Please book your child into the year group that they will be in for 2022, not their current year in 2021.
Vacation Care will operate from 7:00am to 6:00pm and will incur a fee of $80.00 per child per day. Families will be entitled to receive CCS (Child Care Subsidy) with this service. There will be no waitlist or bookings made prior to bookings opening.
PLEASE NOTE: BOOKINGS OPEN 29/11/2021. ALL CANCELLATIONS BEFORE 22/12/2021 WILL INCUR A $20.00 PER CHILD PER DAY FEE.
CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES ARE NOT ACCEPTED AFTER BOOKINGS CLOSE 22/12/2021.
LATE BOOKINGS AFTER 22/12/2021 ARE AT THE DISCRETION OF MANAGAMENT AND BASED ON CENTRE NUMBERS,
THEY WILL BE CHARGED AT $90.00 A DAY
Please see further information below regarding this service:
· Bookings will not be accepted without a booking form signed by a parent.
· If your child is unwell please do not send them to the centre. Please visit our website for our Covid safety precautions.
· A full enrolment form must be completed with the centre before any vacation care booking will be accepted (this is not required if you are currently enrolled at OOSH)
· Please ensure your child/ren pack a hat, morning tea, lunch, a refillable water bottle on ALL DAYS and a raincoat (on wet days). To ensure food does not spoil, please place cool packs in children's lunch boxes. NO NUTS PLEASE.
· Breakfast is NOT served during vacation care. Please ensure your child eats before they arrive at the centre.
· Afternoon tea is provided during vacation care, please check the menu prior to vacation care and if your child is particular please pack extra food as alternatives are not available.
· Children must arrive by 8.45am on most excursion days. Please check the departure time on your child’s group program for early departures. On most excursion days children will return to the centre at 4:00pm and are unable to be collected until then, however please refer to the program.
· Children must wear sensible walking shoes and a top that covers their shoulders. It is compulsory for all children to wear a Narrabeen North OOSH t-shirt on excursion days. These will be available for purchase at the centre for $15.00. Your account will be billed for an extra shirt if your child forgets their OOSH shirt on any excursion day. OOSH Jumpers will also be available although these will not be compulsory, children will need to wear there OOSH shirt over their own jumper if they choose not to purchase an OOSH jumper. All fees will be applied to family account.
· NO spending money is to be brought to Vacation Care by children unless specifically specified on the program.
· Children must be signed in and out daily by a parent/guardian of 18 years or over (children are NOT permitted to sign themselves in or out). Staff will also not be responsible for signing children in or out.
· If your child requires medication, a medication form must be completed. The medication packaging must have the child’s name clearly labelled on it and handed to staff on the day.
EPI-PENS will also need to be handed to staff on the day. Asthma medication may be carried in the child’s bag but please inform staff on your arrival.
· Children will often participate in messy activities so please ensure that only play clothes are worn for vacation care. Please pack swimmers, towel and a change of clothes for all days in Spring, Autumn and Summer as we have spontaneous water play.
· Children are NOT permitted to bring mobile phones or other electrical devices to Vacation Care. In-expensive toys are permitted, however, NN OOSH will take no responsibility for these items.
· If you DO NOT receive any of your requested days you will be notified via email.
Kindy children starting school in 2022 will not be accepted in this January school holiday period.
As you can imagine we are super busy trying to ensure we have Vacation Care up and running so please be patient and keep an eye on our website for further information.
