Narrabeen North Public School is proud to be an active member of the Peninsula Community of Schools.
The Peninsula Community of Schools provides outstanding educational opportunities for students to achieve personal excellence and enables teachers to provide innovative programs to cater to the individual needs ofall our students. Our secondary and primary schools, parents, communities, TAFE and Macquarie University work in a unique partnership to ensure our students have greater opportunities for success.
Senior students enjoy broad curriculum opportunities, offering 72 courses delivered at our three PCS high schools, as well as access to a wide range of TAFE courses. Combined study skills and lecture opportunities are provided for senior PCS students.
Macquarie University is working on an innovative program involving PCS high school and primary students in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. PCS students are also being provided with opportunities to work along side scientists at Macquarie University, in a unique mentoring program.
"Educators have known for years that great outcomes arise from both depth and breadth in young people's experiences at school. The PCS now provides expanded opportunities for over 8200 young people and is designed to be a K to 12+ educational continuum for Peninsula families. Perhaps most importantly of all, within the PCS there is high morale, a new optimism, new relationships and deeper teacher professional learning all designed to minimise any barriers to the single most important goal of local public education – your child's success and happiness."
